Our Story So Far
Alex and I met for the first time on Santana Row in San Jose, CA on July 28, 2018. We walked through the plaza and sat down to share some of our favorite things: good food, wine and conversation.
In the parking lot of an AMC Theater, after watching a terribly, awkward movie on Date #3, we shared our first kiss. I called my mom to tell her everything. I still remember the feeling of floating and the smile that just wouldn’t fade.
In July 2019, we moved in to a one-bedroom apartment in Pleasanton, CA. After driving 3 hours each way to visit each other on the weekends, we were excited to move in together.
Our next adventure began as we explored a new city and learned the kind of things one only discovers when living together.
After a beautiful drive through misty redwoods, on a sunny cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Alex proposed. I was awestruck, but I couldn’t wait to pull him up from his knees for a teary-eyed hug.
The shear surprise of this moment still makes me chuckle. August 29, 2020 will forever be memorialized as the day we chose to become partners in life.
